Job Description

As a Business Controller, you work close to the business with responsibility for follow-up, analysis, and reporting of results, budget, and forecasts. The work takes place in connection with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing. You actively participate in the group's business planning on both a short and long-term basis. You play a central role in ensuring quality and structure in the financial follow-up and work closely with managers, project managers, and employees as support in financial matters.

The work includes overall responsibility for the group's capital expenditure process, analyzing and following up on the investment portfolio, calculating depreciation, and ensuring correct project management. Furthermore, you are responsible for compiling and following up the group's operating costs, preparing liquidity forecasts, and making profitability assessments to support business decisions and prioritizations. You are also responsible for financial lease follow-up.

Continuous business development is part of the job. Currently, there is work underway to develop AI within the group, which you as a Business Controller will be involved in, where you will have the opportunity to learn and contribute in this area.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a university degree with a focus on economics and a few years of current and relevant work experience. You have worked result-oriented and business-close, and have experience in financial follow-up, reporting, analysis, as well as budgeting and forecasting. Furthermore, you communicate easily in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

You have very good knowledge of Excel. If you also have experience with QlikSense or other BI tools, Unit4/Agresso, or CRM, it is an advantage. If you also have experience working in a development-oriented manner in a changing environment, it is meritorious.

We also see that you are responsible, meticulous, take initiative, and have the ability to plan and structure your work.

Stokab owns the world's largest open urban fiber network. With the City of Stockholm as the owner, our mission is to lease fiber on equal terms to companies in all industries, from internet operators and data centers to banks and property owners. We ensure a digital infrastructure for those who live and work in Stockholm. Stokab's subsidiary, S:t Erik Kommunikation, develops and operates the active network with communications for the City of Stockholm's companies, administrations, and committees with over 100,000 end users. The subsidiary forms the foundation for the City of Stockholm's digitalization journey.

The group has a turnover of over 800 million SEK, has approximately 110 permanent employees, investments amount to 170 million SEK, and the result in 2025 was 231 million SEK.

The Finance Department consists of six areas of responsibility: controlling, accounting, purchasing, invoicing, internal control/quality, and environment/sustainability. Today, three people work within controlling, and there are nine employees in total in the entire Finance Department.
